Just read a great article on Entrepreneur.com by Jennifer Shaheen titled, “Death of the 5-Page Website.”

Wow! Just couldn’t have said it better myself.

The premise of her article is that a website is a marketing tool and an investment. Therefore, a static five page site that never evolves means a small business may never plan on expanding or growing.

So, instead of investing in pages, invest in a site that will allow for growth and changes.

That is the exact philosophy at Texstar Web.com. That’s why we offer Content Management web sites that allow the owner of the site to add pages, content, products, services, etc. It’s why we recommend company/corporate blogs so that pages can always be added and updated easily.

If search engines place a priority on ever changing web sites, linking, and actual size of a site with new content, then you owe it to your business to invest upfront in gaining a competitive advantage through content management sites, blogs, and social media.
