Okay, you have a great website. It looks professional, neat, and interesting. One problem, no one is visiting it. Why?

There could be many good reasons, but usually the first is because there is very little valuable content for a search engine.

Search engines, especially Google, no longer work on meta tag keywords, and really never have (I’ve discussed this in a previous blog entry). In addition, packing keywords into your website doesn’t work well anymore with all the changes search engines are making these days.

So what are you to do?

Content really is King! And, what it says is very important. It’s more important than ever to provide valuable information that includes keywords, links, headers, sub-heads, and more.

But, you don’t know how to do this?

With that in mind:

Consider hiring a website design/development company that understands the search engines and can help you with utilizing the right content on your website.

The second option is to hire a good SEO copywriter in addition to the web design/development company. There are many very good companies out there that can help.

Caution, an SEO copyrighter is different than an Search Engine Optimization company. There are many scams out there. SEO is now focusing more on content rather than keywords so it’s very important that your SEO copywriter provides VALUE – not just keywords and links.

Don’t get caught up into linking, buying keywords, and all kinds of other nonsense. That’s just throwing your money down the drain.

Want to get found on the web?

Create great content, change it often and add new pages, get involved with social media and blogging, and you’ll begin to discover a whole new world.
